Chapter One

Every year, thousands of families holiday in Goa and come back with photographs of the beach. The children who come to Nature's Nest come back with something else — a word for a hornbill's call, a clay pot they made with their own hands, the memory of fireflies on a warm June night.

A four-day immersion in nature — a thoughtful mix of forest trails, traditional crafts, wildlife encounters and complete ease, deep in the Western Ghats.

Chapter Two

We didn't design these four days as a schedule. We designed them as a rhythm — early mornings that earn you the forest at its quietest, afternoons that make your hands dirty, evenings that make you want to talk rather than scroll.

Four days. A lifetime of memories.

Each day layers something new — a skill, a landscape, a creature, a conversation.

Day 1

Arrive. Breathe. Let it in.

The first day is about exhaling. The forest sets the pace, and everything begins to feel slower in the best way.

  • Welcome & check-in — orientation walk around the property
  • Evening nature trail with resident naturalist — first bird list of the trip
  • Bonfire dinner under the stars with storytelling session
  • Introduction to the Western Ghats ecosystem
Day 2

Deep forest, big skies.

This is the day the holiday opens up: more movement, more wildlife, and more to discover.

  • Early morning jeep safari — gaur, hornbills, spotted deer
  • Visit to Tambdi Surla — 13th century temple & forest walk
  • Bubble Spring fish pedicure — kids absolutely love this one
  • Afternoon butterfly trail & nature journaling workshop
Day 3

Mud, leaves, old skills.

This is the most hands-on part of the stay, where the place stops being observed and starts being made from.

  • Working plantation walk — spices, cashew, rubber — taste as you go
  • Natural dye workshop: brewing colour from leaves and bark
  • Clay craft session — each child makes a keepsake to take home
  • Sunset ridge walk with panoramic Ghats views
Day 4

Last swim. First memories.

The final morning stays light and easy, giving the trip room to land before the journey home.

  • Morning dip in the natural chlorine-free spring pool
  • Forest foraging walk — edible plants, medicinal herbs, wild berries
  • Farewell Goan breakfast & nature journaling session
  • Check-out with a hand-picked forest keepsake

The Rhythm of a Day

Morning to moonrise, unhurried.

Each day begins with birdsong and ends with stars. What happens in between is for you to discover.

05:30 — 09:00

Dawn Chorus

First light in the Ghats. A warm cup, a quiet trail, the forest waking slowly — hornbills, barbets, the distant call of a langur.

11:00 — 16:00

Hands & Earth

Plantation walks, clay on fingertips, colour from leaves and bark. The kind of learning you can't download — only do.

18:30 — Late

Fire & Sky

Sunset on the ridge, dinner by the bonfire, stories under a sky the children will swear they've never seen before.

Chapter Three

The Western Ghats is one of the world's eight biodiversity hotspots. Your children are about to walk through it, swim in it, taste it, and — if they're lucky — spot a gaur moving quietly through the treeline at dawn.

Eight reasons the forest keeps calling back.

Curated for curious children and the grown-ups who still like getting their feet muddy.

Parent Peace of Mind

The practical questions matter just as much as the magic.

The details below are usually what parents want to know before they decide.

Guidance

First-aid trained naturalists

Every activity is led by trained guides who know the terrain, the pace children need, and how to make the forest feel inviting rather than overwhelming.

Supervision

24/7 on-site support

The programme keeps supervision close and continuous, so children can have freedom inside a structure parents actually trust.

Flexibility

Parents can join, but don't have to

Some families come together. Some send confident young explorers. The experience works both ways, depending on what feels right for your child.

Ease

The essentials are already handled

Accommodation, meals, guided activities, jeep safari, transfers and materials are included, which means less planning friction for parents.

Ready When You Are

The best family holidays don't just entertain children for a few days. They change the kinds of stories they bring home.
