After you arrive at Nature’s Nest, you will be greeted with a welcome drink at the reception area. After checking in, you’ll be taken to your cottage. Our eco-friendly cottages are designed to provide a peaceful stay while minimizing environmental impact, making Nature’s Nest an ideal bird watching place that connects you with nature. Lunch is served from 12:30 pm to 2:30 pm. At 3:30 pm, you’ll have evening tea before heading out for birdwatching in the Bhagwan Mahavir Wildlife Sanctuary with our naturalist. The trail will be in the Tambdi Surla area of the sanctuary, known for being a popular bird watching spots. You will be able to spot birds like Blue-eared Kingfisher, Brown-breasted Flycatcher, Malabar Whistling Thrush, Grey Junglefowl, Mountain Imperial Pigeon, Malabar Parakeet, Malabar Pied Hornbills, Malabar Barbet, Black-naped Monarch, Chestnut-headed Bee-eater, and Dark-fronted Babbler. You will be back at Nature’s Nest by 6.30 pm. Dinner is served at 8.00 pm. Meanwhile, you can enjoy the bonfire and chit-chat. Our bonfire sessions provide the perfect opportunity to unwind at this tranquil bird watching place.
The morning session starts at 6.30 am after the morning tea. You will be taken to Bondla Wildlife Sanctuary, a renowned bird watching place in Goa, where you will be birding until noon. Bondla is home to a variety of species like the Grey-fronted Green Pigeon, Malabar Trogon, Malabar Grey Hornbill, Velvet-fronted Nuthatch, White-rumped Shama, Asian Fairy Bluebird, Orange Minivet, White-bellied Blue Flycatcher, Black-throated Munia, Malabar Woodshrike, Black-hooded Oriole, and Blyth’s Starling. We return to Nature’s Nest for lunch. After evening tea, you’ll go for another birding session in the forest around Nature’s Nest, part of the Bhagwan Mahavir Wildlife Sanctuary. This is the perfect bird watching place for nocturnal species like Jerdon’s Nightjar, Jungle Nightjar, and Sri Lanka Frogmouth. You’ll return for dinner. Night birdwatching provides an exciting twist for those interested in bird watching in Goa, spotting these passing nocturnal birds. Our guides will share tips and use specialized equipment to ensure a memorable experience.
In the morning, you’ll go on a birdwatching session within the property, which is another great bird watching place to spot species like Crimson-backed Sunbird, Purple Sunbird, Loten’s Sunbird, Little Spiderhunter, Vernal Hanging Parrot, Jerdon’s Leafbird, and Nilgiri flowerpecker. This will be followed by birdwatching in the surrounding area of Nature’s Nest.
You may opt for the 4th day extension (Please ask for the charges). You may spend another day in the Western Ghats or do a Boat trip in River Zuari for the Kingfishers and other mangrove species.
